Do You Have An Inner Rock Star?
Our Guitar, Bass & Drum Instructor, Sam, is the key component to Forte's "Rock Star" side! His Band Silverhawk has performed concerts with Artists like Harvey Danger, Blessid Union Of Souls, and Krist Novaselic from Nirvana. He gives a piece of advice for bringing out the aspiring Rock Star in you..."If you want to rock, you first have to step out of your bedroom and jam out with other people..."
Find out by signing up for one of our Rock Band classes with Sam. You will learn a few new songs with a group of other aspiring rockers, crank it up, and kick out the jams for 4 hours! Then, your new band will perform in front of friends and family.
Whatever your instrument, you can rock too. Join the Holiday Style Rock Band Class on December 1st from 9:00am to 1:00 pm. The theme is Fun Holiday Songs & the class is $89
You’ll be rockin’ these Holiday favorites:

Top Five Reasons why you should play an instrument:
1.) It’s Fun! Playing a musical instrument is lots of fun. Everybody enjoys hearing music, and the people who make the music, have the most fun.
2.) You meet interesting people! Without even trying, you’ll be around interesting people when you play music. You’ll discover that people who play instruments are bright, interesting people very much like you, and your music gives you something in common.
3.) It makes you smarter! Many studies have been conducted on the effects of music to the brain. Scientists say that children, who are exposed to music, or those who play an instrument, do better in school than those who don’t. For adults, this will help your mind stay alert and eventually sharpen your memory.
4.) It Relieves Stress! We all have those days when we are so stressed out and we just want to take a break from it all. Have you ever noticed that when you hear soft, soothing music you feel more relaxed? Playing an instrument can do that and more, especially if you’re the one playing. Music is one of life’s simple joys; it helps calm the mind.
5.) You gain a sense of achievement! If you’re a beginner learning to play your first piece, it can be frustrating. But once you've mastered it, the satisfaction you’ll feel is priceless.
