WELCOME BACK STUDENTS!

We look forward to a great new semester. I hope the summer has treated you all very well. We’re all very excited to start another fantastic school year here at Forte Music School. We have just a few new or returning items I wanted to remind you all about.

GUITAR CLASS
Sometimes private lessons are just not working or appropriate for certain students. Certain students just tend to learn better in a group environment. We are offering a once a week guitar class this fall for beginning guitar students. ALL ages are welcome, yes, that even means YOU parents!! Many of you have shown an interest in trying out the guitar and this class is the perfect way to get yourself started. Bring a friend and help each other learn a new hobby. **Begins September 29th, 2009**

WEEBOPPERS
Our preschool music program was on hiatus this past year so that we could revamp and fine-tune our curriculum. Well, it’s back! Children ages 3-4 will have a lot of fun in this once a week 45 minute class. Parents are encouraged to stay and make music right along side them. This is the perfect way to introduce your child to music and start the process of making music a part of their lives. **Begins November 4th, 2009**

RECITALS
As usual, we will be having 4-5 recitals available each semester again this year. Performing in front of an audience is a great way to build confidence and show off all the hard work that you’ve put into your instrument. They are very laid back and fun, so there’s no reason to be scared or shy. The first recital of the season is, as always, our Halloween recital. It’s on October 30th and you get to perform in your costume! The most popular of all of our recitals for sure. **Sign Up Now For Any Recital!**

I look forward to seeing you all again and wish you the best for the rest of the summer.

Warmly,

Eric Nordin
Director, Forte Music School

ARTWORK ON THE STUDENT BLOG

Our music computer lab has many fun and informative music games for our students to use before or after their lesson. However, occasionally, some of them move through all of the games and/or just want a bit of a break from them. So instead, we've found, that a number of our students are drawing amazing works of art in the paint program. There were so many great ones, that we thought it would be fun to share them with you. So we've posted them on our student blog. CLICK HERE to see them for yourself. You might even see your OWN work of art up there.
